The Tippecanoe Valley softball team came up on the short end of a 9-1 decision Monday to Manchester.

The host Vikings managed just five hits in the Three Rivers Conference loss.

Amanda Shepherd had a strong game for Valley with a 3-3 hitting effort.

Losing pitcher Kassidy Shepherd had a hit for the Vikings. Katie Prater also had a hit for Valley.

Valley (1-12) will host Southwood on Wednesday.
