An Indianapolis mother/daughter duo will be starring in a new HGTV show that premieres tonight at 11 p.m.

Karen Jensen and Mina Starsiak call themselves “Two Chicks and a Hammer.” They have been working together for several years, purchasing run down houses in the Fountain Square neighborhood of Indianapolis and renovating them for resale.

The pair began when Mina purchased her own house and they renovated it themselves on a tight budget with the help of family and friends. They have since purchased and redone another 20 homes, working on everything from demolition, to floor plans, to installing cabinets.

HGTV contacted Karen and Mina about the possibility of doing a show and filmed a pilot episode with the pair, which airs at 11 p.m. tonight, as well as 2 a.m. and 6 p.m. tomorrow. If picked up for a full season, they would film an additional 12 episodes with the network.
