Warsaw Community Public Library is a great place for families to spend time this summer, to learn and be inspired, thanks to the Summer Reading Program’s Dream Big – READ!, Own the Night, and Between the Covers.

This summer is all about big dreamers – inventors, artists, authors and leaders who had big dreams and the things they did to make their dreams a reality! We will use magic, puppets, comedy and audience participation to get across the message that all of us have big dreams and we can make those dreams come true, if we work hard, try our best, and, of course, READ!

Summer reading programs are a free, efficient, fun way to incorporate reading and related activities into summer family time and lead to more reading and improved reading skills. Interactive library programs, which include story hours, creative arts, performances and other special events, enhance the reading experience and encourage youth and their families to become library users and lifelong readers.

Children in 5th grade and below can join Dream Big READ! this summer at WCPL, June 11 through July 21, and discover the power of having big dreams. Programs include Stories in the Park, live animals, drop-in crafts, and movies. Special guests include puppets, a magician, a juggler, Lego Fun Fridays, and a visit from the Cat in the Hat. All activities are free of charge and open to the public.

Free registration for the children’s Summer Reading Program is online, www.warsawlibrary.org, starting June 1 or June 11-15 in Room A/B.

The teen Summer Reading Program runs from June 11 through July 21. The theme is “Own the Night” and those in 6th grade and up can participate. Teens are encouraged to participate in the variety of teen events and activities taking place throughout the Library.
