The five inmates from the Elkhart County Correctional Facility, who were taken to Elkhart Hospital Wednesday evening, after having seizures, are now back in the facility.

According to Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Jeff Siegel, as of 9:30 a.m. today, the inmates were returned to the facility and are being monitored by medical staff at the jail.

The substance will be submitted for testing and that information will not be readily available.

An investigation into this incident continues.
