Valley Sports Wrap – April 28
The Tippecanoe Valley softball team dropped an 11-4 final at Pioneer Tuesday evening.
Abby Betten led the Vikings with a home run and two RBI.
Katie Prater and Raechel Tory each had two hits for Valley. Katie Gunter pitched four and a third strong innings with eight strikeouts for the Vikings.
Valley (1-8) will play at North Miami Wednesday.
Baseball Team Hammers CMA
The Tippecanoe Valley baseball team hammered host Culver Academies 8-1.
Eric Hammer turned in a sensational pitching performance for the Vikings. He fanned 15 and walked just one in the complete game gem.
Luke Helton and Drake Hyden each had two hits for Valley. Garrett Bell had a double for the winners.
Valley, now 8-3, will play at North Miami Wednesday.
Zimpleman Leads Golfers To Win
Bryce Zimpleman continued his fine season with medalist honors as the Valley boys golf team beat host Culver.
Zimpleman shot a 38 as the Vikings topped Culver 175-221 at Mystic Hills.
Jeremy Julian had a 43 and Cole Cumberland 46 for the winners. Trevor Neeley had a 48, Corey Carson a 51 and Kane Stellar a 61.
Valley, now 4-2, will play in the Rochester Invitational on Saturday.
