Mark Allen Rickner, 46, of Wabash, died at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, April 25.
He was born Oct. 31, 1968, in Fort Wayne to John and Ruth (Payne) Rickner.
Mark was a 1987 graduate of Chapel Heights Academy in Marion, received two Associate degrees and was working on his Bachelor degree at Ivy Tech and Indiana University, Kokomo.
He married Jennifer Dyson in Wabash on Oct. 10, 1987. He was a millwright at the Chrysler Kokomo Transmission Plant. Mark was a member of the Bachelor Creek Church of Christ in Wabash where he was an Elder and taught Sunday School. He was also a member of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.).
Mark was a community group leader and loved to teach others. He was a man of God that lived to serve the Lord in everything he said and did. He enjoyed reading, studying the Bible, fishing, was a gun enthusiast, and enjoyed riding and traveling on his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his wife and kids. Mark was a patient and loving father and devoted husband who showed his love to his family daily.
He is survived by his wife: Jennifer Rickner, Wabash; father and step-mother: John (Sue) Rickner, Marion; four children: Elizabeth (Benjamin) McKnight, Wabash; Michael Rickner, Noblesville; Christopher (Mackenzie) Rickner, Bloomington; Kaitlyn Rickner, Wabash; brothers and sister: Andrew (Joy) Rickner; Sara (Scott) Haines; and Daniel Rickner, all of marion; and his in-laws: Eugene (Jill) Dyson, Wabash.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Ruth Rickner.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, located at 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, and one hour prior to the service. The service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 1, at Bachelor Creek Church of Christ, located at 2147 N. SR 15, Wabash.
Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
Preferred memorial is Bachelor Creek Church of Christ.
