WABASH – The offense was clicking in high gear Saturday for the Whitko junior varsity baseball team.

The JV Wildcats defeated host Wabash 21-2 and 12-6 for a doubleheader sweep.

Nic Rose led the way in the 21-2 win with a 4-5 effort at the plate with five RBI.

Winning pitcher Alex Robbins went 3-4 for the Wildcats. Kyle Knutson, Zach Hewitt, River West and Roger Helblig  each had two hits.

Cory Hersha was 3-5 with four RBI in the game two win for Whitko. Hewitt was 3-4 with an RBI for Whitko. Winning pitcher West struck out six and did not allow an earned run.

Whitko improves to 5-2 on the season with the pair of wins.
