WARSAW – The Lakeview Middle School girls track teams went 1-1 versus Manchester to open the season.

The Lakeview 8th grade team defeated Manchester 87-22. Manchester won the 7th grade meet 67-41.

The duo of Lex Desenberg and Makayla Clampitt each were double individual winners to lead the Lakeview 8th grade team to victory. Desenberg won the 800 in a time of 3:01.54 and took first in the 1,600 in 6:35.46. Clampitt placed first in the 100 in 13.93 and first in the 200 in 30.78.

Others winners for Lakeview were Lynae Dawson in the discus (79-6 1/2), Natalia McGuire in the long jump (13-9 3/4), Michaela Buriff in the high jump (4-7), Caitlin Kehler in the 400 (1:09) and Doberstein in the shot put (27-5).

Hanna Bloemendaal won two races to lead Lakeview in the 7th grade meet. She placed first in the 800 in 3:05.83 and won the 1,600 in a top time of 6:36.91.

Also winning for Lakeview in the 7th grade meet were Sophia Long in the 100 hurdles (18.91) and Alexis Music in the long jump (12-10 1/4).
