Staff of Heartline Pregnancy Center recently had the privilege of meeting with Senator Amanda Banks of Indiana District 17, at the statehouse in Indianapolis.
Banks will be the emcee for Heartline’s 30th anniversary celebration and fundraising event, called Gathering of Hope, on Tuesday, May 12, at Christ Covenant Church, Warsaw.
Banks graduated with a bachelor of science degree in public policy and a business certificate from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She recently served as a federal policy analyst for Focus on the Family and as communications manager for the American Red Cross Indiana-Ohio region.
Currently, Banks serves as vice-president of Allen County Right to Life and co-host of “I Choose Life News and Views.”
IBanks was elected, in accordance with state law, Dec. 4 by a caucus of precinct committeemen to temporarily fill the Senate seat held by her husband, State Sen. Jim Banks, during his deployment to Afghanistan with the U.S. Navy.
