Warsaw Sports Wrap – April 14
The Warsaw boys golf team picked up a pair of wins Tuesday evening.
Ryan Cultice led the way for the Tigers as they defeated both Northridge and Mishawaka Marian at the Elcona Country Club.
Cultice shot a 37 as Warsaw shot 155 in the triangular. Northridge shot 165 and Marian 167.
Jonny Hollar and Brandon Eckert each fired a 38 for the Tigers in the wins. Michael Jensen and Reid Cameron each shot a 42 and Luke Johnson a 43.
The Warsaw junior varsity team shot 183 to top Marian (187) and Northridge (190).
Sam Yeager led the Tiger JV with a 40. Andrew Gauger shot 46 and Jacob LaLonde 48 for Warsaw. Tommy Meier had a 49, Tim Rata a 51 and Luke Delp a 53.
Warsaw will host its Don Dicken Classic Saturday at Stonehenge.
JV Baseball Team Wins
The Warsaw junior varsity baseball team pounded past Manchester 11-1.
Bryce Sensibaugh slugged a home run for the host Tigers in the win.
Winning pitcher Braxton Tenant had eight strikeouts. Henry Howard and Alex Miller each had a double for Warsaw.
Warsaw (2-1) plays at Columbia City Friday night.
