UPDATE: Approximately 15 fiberglas truck cabs were destroyed at the former Mike Gill Auto and Truck Parts Friday afternoon. Firefighters were at the scene for several hours. No injuries were reported.

Warsaw-Wayne Township Fire Chief Mike Brubaker reported employees were in the process of doing torch work on a truck cab, when the grass caught fire. Due to high winds, the grass fire quickly spread out of control.

The fire was in the northeast corner of the salvage yard.

The business is listed as being owned by RMC Lewis Realty Holding LLC.

Emergency personnel are currently responding to a fire at Mike Gill Auto located at 1806 Winona Ave., Warsaw.

Smoke is drifting in town and can be seen from Lake and Market streets.
