Syracuse Approves Bid Advertisement
Progress on the Industrial/Technology Park located at SR 13 and U.S. 6 took a step forward today as the Syracuse Town Council approved a bid avertisement during a special meeting held this morning.
The advertisment is to seek bids for the installation of utilities at the park site. The ad will run in local papers June 6 and June 13. The vote was unanimous.
In other council business, Jeremy Sponseller, public works superintendent, presented quotes for an easement in Oakwood Park for the town and NIPSCO to use at the lift station. Sponseller explained three poles will have to be installed on the right of way to take up the slack line. Transformers will be on the poles. The winning bid was for $2,500 from Marbach Brady and Weaver for the easement work.
