Wayne Smith, 87, formerly of Syracuse, passed away on March 26, 2015 at the Kosciusko Community Hospital.

He was born on March 13, 1928 in Russellville, Ala. to Bradley & Jennie (Fretwell) Smith. He married Viviane Buckner who preceded him in death in 2012. He was a US Navy veteran, a Free and Accepted Mason, as well as a member of the Scottish Rite.

He was a long time member of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel. He is survived by his daughter: Rebecca Smith, Syracuse; 3 grandchildren and a sister also survive. Private family services were held at the Eastlund Funeral Home.
