A grass fire broke out in Pierceton this afternoon, sometime around 5 p.m, at a large property in the 3900 block of Wooster Road. According to county records, the property is owned by Donald R. and Darci G. Zolman.

Several emergency services vehicles arrived on the scene from both the Warsaw and Winona Lake fire departments, and continued to arrive until nearly 5:45 p.m.

The size of the fire and the amount of damage it caused are currently unknown, as the fire was located several hundred feet back from the road and concealed by a large building and a handful of emergency services vehicles.
