Syracuse Fire and MES responded to a call for a grass fire at 10:55 a.m. Monday morning at 4526 E. Fox Run Drive, Syracuse.
Upon arrival, firefighters found small bushes to be on fire, causing some damage to the front of the house as well.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, and notify homeowners Angela and Jeffery Goralczyk, who were not present at the time of the fire. The fire department was able to open the house with the help of a neighbor who had a key, and use a fan to rid the home of any smoke.
