And we honor their contribution to helping their clients pursue their life’s financial goals.”
Held in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., from Feb. 2-4, the 11th annual LPL Financial Institution Services Program Leadership Conference is one of the industry’s largest gatherings of financial institution investment program leaders, with more than 250 bank and credit union program managers and executives in attendance this year.
This year’s conference focused on The Power of Connection and provided attendees with the opportunity to network with peers and to discuss the challenges and opportunities in today’s financial services environment. Breakout sessions and roundtables centered on themes such as institution growth, recruitment, risk, compliance, technology adoption and the importance of wealth management for the long-term growth of community banks and credit unions.
Attendees also heard from keynote speaker Mark Abrashoff, the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of “It’s Your Ship” and two follow up books on leadership principles. Abrashoff developed his leadership lessons while serving as the most junior commanding officer in the Navy’s Pacific Fleet when he led the dramatic turnaround of the USS Benfold.
