Ralph Lee Adkins, 62, of Warsaw, passed away at his residence surrounded by family at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 1.
He was a resident of Kosciusko County, for the past 40 years moving here from Kentucky. He attended Betsy Layne School in Betsy Layne, Ky. He moved to Warsaw in 1975 when he started working for Maple Leaf Farms in Milford, as a farm hand. He retired in 1994 due to ill health. He enjoyed crafts, the outdoors, gardening and cleaning the house. He loved fishing, his family and he especially loved the lord.
He was born on Sept. 12, 1952, in Martin, Ky., to Lee Adkins and Octava (Howell) Adkins. In 1972 Ralph was married to Joann Hall; and then on Oct. 16, 1982, he married Robin (Huff) Adkins, who survives in Warsaw.
He leaves behind two sons: Jonathan and James Adkins, Warsaw; three daughters: Samantha “Ann” Adkins, Warsaw; Cassandra (Weston) Wilson, Etna Green; Brandy Peconga, Warsaw; 11 grandchildren; and his brother: Randy Adkins, Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother; one brother; one sister; a granddaughter; and son-in-law.
His memorial service will be conducted at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, and will be officiated by Pastor Christina Huntzinger and assisted by Del Riley. There will be time for visitation an hour prior to the service.
