There will not be a primary election held in Syracuse May 5 because candidates are running unopposed. Town Councilmen Brian Woody, who represents District 4, and Bill Musser, who represents District 5, are seeking re-election while Tom Hoover is seeking to represent District 3, which is currently represented by Kathy Beer, who is not seeking a second term on the council.

Paula Keher-Wicker is seeking the clerk-treasurer’s position. Julie Kline, current clerk-treasurer, plans to retire after her term. She has served as clerk-treasurer for the last 12 years.
