Robert A. Brilliandt, 86 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Dec. 6, 1928, in Boston, Mass., to Edward and Frances (Cohen) Brilliandt.
Robert faithfully served his Country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a graduate of North Eastern University of Boston with a B.S. Degree in Business. He was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Downing Patterson. Barbara preceded him on Feb. 25, 2010. The former Manager of Lincoln Drive In Theater he was Co-Owner of Creative Concrete and Plastercraft and owner of Brilliandt Tax Service both of Warsaw. He was a member of Celebration United Methodist Church of Warsaw where he served as Chairman of the Finance Committee. In addition, he was a member of the Warsaw American Legion Post #49 and the Warsaw Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his son: David (Amy) Brilliandt, Middlebury; three stepsons: David (Valerie) Patterson, Circle City, Ariz.; Jerry (Kathy) Patterson, Warsaw; Larry (Linda) Patterson, Scottsdale, Ariz.; one stepdaughter: Susan (Clyde) Martin, Lititz, Pa.; and companion Carol Reining, Warsaw. Furthermore, three grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and 19 step-great-grandchildren survive.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 27, in Celebration United Methodist Church of Winona Lake, with Pastor Cindy Gackenheimer officiating. Calling hours will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the church. Interment services will be private. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
