UPDATE: The suspect has been located by police.

Police Departments from around the county are converging on the west side of Pierceton to search for a man who fired shots at an officer.

At approximately 4:40 a.m. today an officer was in pursuit of a vehicle in Pierceton, which crashed. The officer reported shots were fired by one suspect who fled. One suspect was apprehended.

Officers are reportedly in the area of 12th and Tower streets, at the old tomato plant.
