This year’s Day of Caring event is set for Aug. 15 and the United Way of Kosciusko County is still accepting applications for those needing some assistance.

All of the supplies for the services are funded by United Way and the work is completed by volunteers.  Those volunteers will perform a variety of tasks including yard work to painting and even making minor repairs.

The Day of Caring event is held annually to help the elderly, low income, disabled and even veteran home owners make necessary repairs to their property. Representatives of the United Way and Housing Opportunities of Warsaw have been visiting communities to deliver applications door to door.
