Joseph F. Glaser, 85, Ligonier, formerly of Lake Wawasee, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015.

On Nov. 18, 1929 he was born to Ben and Ethel (Wills) Glaser in Fort Wayne. He married Cloha M. Kettlebar on Aug. 8, 1950. She preceded him in death in January 2005.

Joseph was self-employed as a GM auto dealer in Ligonier. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, The Elks, and Free Masons all in Ligonier. One of his major achievements was becoming the number one national truck salesman in 1978.

He is survived by his children: Ben Glaser, Goshen, Marcia (Larry) Yoder, Ligonier, Carol (Steve) Reed, South Whitley, and Heidi Johnson of Syracuse; 12 grandchildren: Joe Glaser, Tracey (Thomas) Edmundson, Trista Yoder, Bradley (Erin) Yoder, Jolene (Jose) Melendez, Tony Reed, Todd Reed, J.J. (Lindsay) Johnson, Jeremy (Ashley) Johnson, Jordan (Emily) Johnson, Jared Johnson, and Jed Johnson; eight great-grandchildren: Elijah and Sidney Edmundson, Felix Yoder, LaRon Buress, Luis Melendez, Madison, Kensi, and Avery Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and siblings: Betty (Glaser-Blue) Ganshorn, Bob Brode, Mildred Temple, and Rosabelle Ely.

A memorial service will be held in Joseph’s honor at noon on Thursday March 12 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Celebrant Larry Baker will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery at a later date.

Family and friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 at Yeager Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Noble County Community Foundation, Future Ligonier Alliance, or the Ligonier Historical Society.
