Adalberto Gutierrez, 57, of Akron, Indiana passed at 8:18 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne.
He was born on Sept. 24, 1957, in Tepatitlan DeMoreos, Jalisco, Mexico, to Salvador Gutierrez and Maria Delaluz Arias Munoz. On May 2, 1981, in Long Beach, Calif., he was married to Rachel Lucero.
He was a sheet metal mechanic and a farmer. He was also a member of the Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God of Silver Lake. He praised the Lord, took care of his animals and enjoyed his family time.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter: Luz Cristina (Matthew) Haussmann, Talma; son: Juan Alberto (Nicole) Gutierrez, Rock Lake; Jesus A. Gutierrez, Akron; Diego A. Gutierrez, Akron; grandchildren: Emma Hill, Abigail Haussmann, Braxton Gutierrez, Chloe Haussmann, Bella Gutierrez and Mattilyn Haussmann; sisters: Raqlue Gutierrez de Rios, Anna Rosa Gutierrez and Cristina Isabel Gutierrez de Martinez, Tepatitlan DeMoreos, Jalisco, Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Benjamin Gutiereez Arias
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church Of God, 303 S. Jefferson St,, Silver Lake, with Pastor Frank Whitaker officiating. Burial will be held in Akron Cemetery, Akron. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron.
