AKRON – Tipppecanoe Valley High School will salute its semi state-bound girls basketball team with a community pep rally Thursday night.

The pep rally will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the TVHS Gym.

The Vikings will play Rochester on Saturday at approximately 6 p.m. in a Class 3-A semi state game at Warsaw. Valley, which won its first-ever regional championship with a pair of overtime wins at Bellmont this past Saturday, is 24-2. The Zebras are 23-4.

Valley defeated Three Rivers Conference foe Rochester 52-40 on Jan. 17 at Valley.

The first semi state game Saturday at WCHS will be the Class 2-A game between Wabash and Fort Wayne Canterbury. That game will begin at 4 p.m. with the Valley-Rochester contest to follow it.

The winner of the Valley-Rochester game will play in the Class 3-A state championship game on March 7 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Inidnapolis at 6 p.m.
