Jennifer Weinert, Center at Donaldson, presented a lecture entitled “A Sage-ing Circle Experience: Making a Difference” as a part of the college’s Lampen Lecture series.

Weinert is a certified Sage-ing Circle Facilitator for Memorial Brainworks Heart of Aging with Wisdom and Vitality, a program based on the work of Rabbi Reb Zalman. She graduated summa cum laude from Western Illinois University with a degree in Fine Arts and a psychology minor. Weinert is resident services director at Maria Center.

“I can’t imagine that any of the participants left the Sage-ing experience not being validated despite their age, despite their measure of life experiences, despite their relationships or lack thereof. One went away from the experience wanting more,” said Sister Jolise May, vice-president of mission integration at Ancilla College.

Sage-ing is meant to affirm every phase of life and for us all to practice taking time to acknowledge our inner wisdom and blessings.

Since 1937, the College has been a sponsored ministry of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ. It is a small, private, liberal arts school in Donaldson, Indiana.
