Scott HoskinsPastor Scott W. Hoskins, 62, gracefully accepted the promotion next to his beloved Creator on Feb. 16, 2015. He was in the comfort of his earthly home in Warsaw.

Scott was born in Barbourville, Ky., on Sept. 22, 1952, to Betty and Sam Hoskins. Scott was united in marriage to his beloved life-mate, Jeri Pritchard Hoskins, who survives. Scott worked as a purchasing agent for Holiday Rambler in Wakarusa before finishing his corporate career in sales at Chore-Time Brock in Milford. Scott then began focusing his time studying the word of God before obtaining his ministers license. He loved serving others in prayer, fellowship, and times of need.

Other family members surviving include two sons: Matthew (Leah Reed) Hoskins and William (Billy) West, Warsaw; three grandsons: Cameron Reed Hoskins, Cole Matthew Hoskins, Callen Tate Hoskins, all of Warsaw; and one granddaughter: Chloe Grace Hoskins, Warsaw; four sisters: Darla Hoskins Radcliffe (Richard), California; Marsha Hoskins Sompayrac (Mark), Virginia; Rita Hoskins Klopfenstein (Kip), Michigan; Jacque Pritchard Bradley (Bill), Warsaw; one brother: Jeff Pritchard (Linda), Winona Lake; and many nieces and nephews who he dearly loved.

Scott graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1970 and was proud to serve as the class coordinator of annual reunions. Scott loved his classmates very much and looked forward to the annual gatherings they shared. A Warsaw community resident for nearly 60 years, Scott loved his hometown dearly. He and Jeri would spend their Sundays worshipping the Lord at Warsaw Community Church (with friends) as well as Mission Point Community Church (with family).

Scott was also a member of a weekly bible study with a dear group of believers who would meet at Martin’s Supermarket. Scott also loved his dedicated group of caretakers in a very special way. His wife, two boys, sisters Rita & Linda, niece Abby, brother Jeff and cousin Wayne Ray of Newport, Kentucky were all such an example of unconditional love and sacrifice.

Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw who is entrusted with the arrangements. Funeral celebration services will be held Saturday, Feb. 21, at Lakeland Christian Academy promptly beginning at 10 a.m. with Pastors Kondo Simfukwe, Denny Wilson and Rod Mayer officiating.
