Alvin A. Chupp, age 65, of Milford, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at IU Health Goshen Hospital, where he had been for 2 weeks. He had battled cancer for 7 years. He was born on Oct. 12, 1949 to Andrew J. and Clara (Slabaugh) Chupp. He lived in this area all of his life. He had worked at Woodland Park in Middlebury and was also a taxi driver.
He is survived by 2 brothers, Eldon Chupp, Milford, and Joseph (Sue) Chupp, Elkhart; and 7 sisters, Wilma (Lynn) Hively, Nappanee, Carol (Tom Bickel) Westerman, Syracuse, Fannie Mae (Mervin) Miller, Goshen, Katherine (Steven) Miller, Goshen, Ina (Vernon) Bontrager, Nokomis, Fla., Treva Chupp, Claypool, and Erma (Bob) Stevens, Sarasota, Fla.
Alvin was a member of the Milford Chapel. He enjoyed visiting his family, fishing, going on trips to fish and he really enjoyed his church.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home in Nappanee and one hour prior to services at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Milford Chapel. Pastor Joe Yoder and Pastor Menno Yoder will officiate. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Milford Chapel or the Elkhart County Cancer Society.
