Thurl S. Kester, 68, of Warsaw, passed away at 4:02 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at his home. Kester was born Sep. 13, 1946, in Wabash to Clyde and Geneva (Stucker) Kester.
He married his first wife, Janet E. Schaetzle, on March 7, 1965 in Bourbon. He married his second wife, B. Jane Earl, on Oct. 19, 2013 in Warsaw.
Kester was the owner of Kester’s Electric Motor Service in Warsaw. He also raced sprint cars, loved motorcycles and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He was also a lover of dachshunds.
He is survived by his wife, Jane, Warsaw; three sons: Steven (Christine) Kester, Warsaw, W. Clyde (Jennifer) Kester, Lakeville, and Steven (Sherry) Lee, Albion; a daughter: Laura (George) Stidams, Warsaw; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Greg (Mary) Kester, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Titus Funeral Home and officiated by Rev. Mark Cottrill. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw. Memorials may be sent to Animal Welfare League, 3489 E. 100S., Pierceton, IN, 46562.
