Kyra LinnKyra Linn (née Sharon), 56, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday morning, Feb. 8, 2015, at her residence in Warsaw.

Kyra was the first daughter born to Walter and Heidi (Knauss) Linn on Aug. 8, 1958, in Lafayette. She attended Warsaw High School and graduated from Grace College and Theological Seminary. She received a bachelors degree in behavioral sciences and mathematics and a seminary certificate of biblical studies.

Kyra was a software consultant, a teacher, a published author, a percussionist and a string and woodwind musician. Much of Kyra’s adult life was enjoyed in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she practiced WuShu martial artistry and mastered the art so well that she became a teacher at her studio. She also spent time in Hawaii where she enjoyed rock climbing, scuba diving, and caving. Although she was disabled in 2006, she continued her love of learning by studying, researching and publishing a book. She also began compiling a memoir for her mother who immigrated from Germany in 1956. Kyra was never lacking in tenacity no matter the obstacle. She lived life to the fullest until the very end, and now she is free.

Kyra is survived by her sisters: Helga Tess (Glenn), Warsaw; Heidi Jamesen (Mark), Grand Rapids, Mich.; two nieces: Sarah (John) Northuis and Rachel Jamesen, both of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and a nephew: Luke Jamesen, Grand Rapids.

Kyra was preceded in death by her father.

A visitation with family and friends will be held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A Memorial service will be held also at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Denny Wilson officiating.
