Billy C. Wyatt, 83, of Akron, and formerly of Burbank, Ill., passed away at 1:19 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.

He was born May 2, 1931, in Dyer County, Tenn., to Dewey and Alice (Fisher) Wyatt.
On Oct. 20, 1951, in Hernada, Miss., he was married to Janie E. Roberson, who passed away April 20, 2014.

Billy was a Union Iron Worker Local 63 in Chicago. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church of Rochester.

He is survived by daughters: Karen (Charles) Shane, Akron; Gail Wyatt – Steelville, Mo.; sons: Billy Wyatt, Rochester; Tony (Theresa) Wyatt, Burbank, Ill.; six grandchildren: Charles (Brenda) Shane; Karla (Jeremy) Lane; Tony Wyatt Jr.; Vanessa Wyatt; Army Specialist Brandon Wyatt P.F.C.; Airman First Class Mallory Almodovar (Mike); five great-grandchildren: Kealy, Jacob, Katie Joe, Charles and Carter; brothers: Dewey Mitchell (Beverly) Wyatt, Batavia, Ill.; Luther (Joyce) Wyatt, St. Charles, Ill.;

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dewey and Alice Wyatt; wife: Janie E. Wyatt; a sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Liberty Baptist Church, 2089 Liberty Road, Rochester, with Pastor Bill McSpadden officiating. Hartzler Funeral Services is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
