The return of winter weather has marked the return of postponements for area high school sporting events.

The heavy snow that closed all area schools today has left its mark on the prep calendar.

Wawasee High School has announced that its boys and girls junior varsity basketball games tonight at home versus Bremen have been postponed. Those games are rescheduled for Wednesday (Feb. 4) in Syracuse.

Wawasee’s gymnastics meet scheduled for this evening at East Noble has been postponed. The Wawasee freshman boys basketball home game with NorthWood was also postponed. No immediate makeup date was announced for either contest.

Triton High School has announced a trio of changes for tonight. The boys freshman basketball game at Plymouth and the girls basketball 5th grade game versus Akron are both cancelled and will not be rescheduled.  Also, the junior high boys basketball awards night has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. at the high school.
