WABASH – A strong second-half effort enabled Whitko to collect a conference girls basketball win at Northfield Saturday.

The Wildcats outscored the hosts 22-11 in the final half to post a 37-28 win in Three Rivers Conference action.

Northfield led 13-5 after the opening period and 17-15 at halftime.

Brianna Cumberland led the way to the win for Whitko with 16 points. Aly Reiff netted 13 points for the Wildcats.

Whitko improves to 11-7 overall and 4-2 in the TRC. Northfield drops to 10-10 overall and 3-3 in the TRC.

Whitko plays at Lakeland Tuesday. Northfield plays at TRC foe Rochester on Saturday.
