WINONA LAKE – The Lakeland Christian Academy girls basketball team dropped a 42-40 final Tuesday night to visiting Granger Christian.

Hannah Delp led the way for the Cougars with 11 points.

Rachel Sand had 10 points to go with six rebounds and four steals for LCA. Carissa Urschalitz scored five points and Melissa Goss, Ashley Ormsby and Joselyn Helton each had four. Goss also had six assists and five steals and Ormsby five rebounds.

Maryl Gerst scored two points for the Cougars.

LCA had lost to Granger Christian 51-39 in a tournament back on Jan. 2.

LCA, now 5-12, plays at Caston Thursday night.
