Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following accidents:
2:33 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, North SR 15, north of West Plum Street, Leesburg. Drivers: Howard P. Capps, 30, West Saxon Drive, Marion, and Lee A. Kearley, 54, Fendler Drive, Indianapolis. Capps was unable to slow in time to keep from colliding with the rear of Kearley’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
8:37 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, East CR 700N and North CR 200E, Warsaw. Drivers: Kim E. Cox, 30, EMS C28F Lane, Warsaw, and Ellen M. Patterson, 32, North CR 620E, Syracuse. Cox pulled out in front of Patterson at the intersection, causing a collision. Damage up to $25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to the following accidents:
9:54 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2500 Silveus Crossing, Warsaw. Driver: Cruz Murillo, 17, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Murrillo believes he fell asleep, causing him to run off the road and collide with a tree. Damage up to $50,000.
7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2856 Frontage Rd., Warsaw. Driver: Susan E. Hoagland, 48, South SR 25. An unidentified driver struck Hoagland’s parked vehicle, before pulling off. Damage up to $1,000.
5:41 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2519 E. Center St., Warsaw. Driver: Michael J. Callahan, 62, North CR 650E, North Manchester. Callahan unsuccessfully attempted to make it under a clearance that was not as tall as his vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
4:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, East Main and North Roosevelt streets, Warsaw. Drivers: Donald F. Locke, 93, East Center Street, Warsaw, and Thomas E. Barrus, 28, Boys City Drive, Winona Lake. Locke drove through a stop sign, resulting in a collision with Barrus. Damage up to $10,000.
