Larry E. ReichardLarry E. Reichard, 72, of Ligonier, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.

He was born on Feb. 7, 1942, to Dale and Maxine (Shriver) Reichard in South Whitley.

He was a lifetime area resident and worked on his parent’s farm in Larwill, and also at Monsanto, Sorg Products, and retired from PVC Compounders after over 15 years of service. Mr. Reichard was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Larry loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He also enjoyed going to auctions, scrapping recyclable metals, fishing, mushroom hunting and collecting coins.

He is survived by his four children: Tammie (Mike) Andersen, Iowa; Becky Reichard, Warsaw; Angela (Michael) Bales, Cromwell; Dale (Nicole) Reichard, Argos; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three siblings: Randall (Donna) Reichard, Goshen; Richard (Michele) Reichard, Fort Wayne; and Janice (Tony) Clingerman, Kimmell; his former wife: Marie (Reichard) Helton, Church Hill, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter: Donna Harold.

 

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at Ligonier Nazarene Church with Pastor John Lutton officiating. A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center.
