WINONA LAKE – Lakeland Christian Academy earned another girls basketball win Tuesday night, taking it to Cornerstone Christian in a 49-41 final.

Rachel Sand continued her hot play of late, scoring 19 points to lead the Lady Cougars. Sand was 8-of-14 from the floor and hit three of her four fee throw attempts along with pulling down eight rebounds. Hannah Delp added nine points and five assists while Melissa Goss contributed eight points, six boards and three steals in the winning effort.

Carissa Urschalitz added five points and nine rebounds for LCA, which upped its mark to 5-10 this season.

LCA will have a huge challenge on its hands when it hits the road for a Friday night tilt at Culver Academy.
