Harvey Industries LLC announced that as of Dec. 31, 2014, it would lay off a significant number of employees at its Wabash facility.
In a letter to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Harvey Industries stated that approximately 141 hourly works and two salaried employees would be laid off.
The company expects the layoffs to be temporary, and the facility, located at 3837 W. Mill St. Extended, Wabash, is not expected to close. Harvey Industries is doing everything it “reasonably can to call workers back as soon as possible.” However, callbacks are not expected within the next five months.
