
WARSAW – It was a record-setting day for the Warsaw boys swim team on Saturday.
The hosts used a record performance from its 200 freestyle relay team as the highlight of defeating Concord 106-80 for a big Northern Lakes Conference win.
The quartet of Matt Wildman, Spencer Davidson, Ethan Cook and Jayden Parrett produced the new school record mark with their winning time of 1:28.24.
Davidson had another big set of performances for the Tigers. He won the 50 freestyle in a time of 22,23 and grabbed first in the 100 breaststroke race in 1:00.64. Davidson also teamed with Parrett, Wildman and Zach Taylor to win the 200 medley relay event in a top time of 1:40.83.
Warsaw also got winning efforts from Taylor in the 200 IM (2:06.50), Cook in the 100 freestyle (51.24), Josh Miller in the 100 backstroke (55.77) and Liam McCarrick in diving (191.65).
Wildman also notched a pair of second-place finishes in the win. He was second in both the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke events.
The Tigers also got second-place finishes from Parrett (200 freestyle), Miller (100 butterfly), Hudson Snyder (200 IM), Nick Bell (diving) and Matt Hasting (500 freestyle).
Warsaw improves to 7-1 overall and finishes at 6-1 in NLC action. The Tigers return to action on Jan. 20 by hosting Culver Academies at 5:30 p.m.
