KENDALLVILLE – The Warsaw wrestling team turned in an impressive performance Saturday in the East Noble Invitational.

The Tigers got championship efforts from four individuals and finished as runner-up in the team standings.

Host East Noble captured the team title with 215 points. Coach Justin Smith’s Tigers were right behind with 213.5 points.

Leading the way for the Tigers were champions Kyle Hatch (120), Spencer Gareiss (152), Rory Nolin (195) and Drew Brock (220).

Sophomore Hatch, coming off a championship effort at the recent Al Smith Invitational, kept his undefeated record intact on Saturday.

Warsaw also got second-place finishes from Dan Gonzalez (113), Kameron Hile (126), Jeremy Lee (132), Christian Taylor (138), Jesus Gomez (182) and Anthony Penn (heavyweight).

Placing third for the Tigers was Mason Faas at 160. Brady Stout was fourth at 145 and Chris Williams was fifth at 170.

Warsaw, which is 9-8 overall and 2-3 in the Northern Lakes Conference, returns to action at Goshen Thursday for an NLC match.
