WINONA LAKE – Argos didn’t allow Lakeland Christian to gain much momentum Saturday, downing the host Lady Cougars 65-30 in girls hoops Saturday.

Rachel Sand wound up the leading scorer for Lakeland Christian, scoring 11 points helped by a 5-10 effort from the free throw line. Sand also had 11 rebounds in the contest.

Maryl Gerst and Hannah Delp each had six points, but were a combined 6-16 from the field. Delp added two rebounds in the game. Melissa Goss chi

pped in five points for the Lady Cougars.

LCA, now 4-10 on the season, will look to regroup in hosting Cornerstone Christian Tuesday evening.

The Lakeland Christian Academy versus Portage Christian boys basketball game was postponed Saturday, a rescheduled date is to be announced.
