UPDATE: Minor Injuries In Syracuse Area Accident

Icy roads caused a single-vehicle accident at 12:35 p.m. Friday, on East CR 900N, south of North CR 500E, south of Syracuse.

Jason L. Goldsmith, 22, East CR 1250N, Milford, complained of pain to the chest and was transported by Turkey Creek Fire Territory Paramedics to an area hospital.

Goldsmith told police he saw a vehicle coming up to the intersection from his right, that appeared to be sliding. Goldsmith swerved to miss the other vehicle, but lost control of his vehicle, causing it to go off the road and hit a utility pole.

Damage was estimated up to $2,500.


 

INITIAL: One person suffered injuries in a one-vehicle accident this afternoon in the area of CR 900N and CR 500E, south of Syracuse.

Initially reported as a property damage, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Officer Floyd Knafel found the driver was complaining of pain after he arrived and called for an ambulance to respond.

Turkey Creek Fire Territory Paramedics responded.
