Balanced Effort Paces Valley Win
LOGANSPORT – The Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team returned to its winning ways Tuesday night.
The Vikings got another big performance from Anne Secrest to collect a road win by a 58-51 count at Logansport.
Sophomore Secrest tallied 18 points in the victory for coach Chris Kindig’s squad.
Logansport led 13-10 after the opening quarter. Valley took a 27-22 halftime lead and stretched its advantage to 42-34 after three periods of play in the non-conference contest.
Meredith Brouyette had 11 points and Taylor Trippiedi nine for Valley.
The duo of Hannah Dunn and Brynda Krueger each scored six points. Caylie Teel and Karis Tucker each had four points for the Vikings.
Nakeya Penny led Logansport with 19 points.
Valley, which has won its last nine games, improves to 13-1. Logansport, losers of three in a row, drops to 4-10.
The Vikings play at Northfield Thursday night in a Three Rivers Conference game. Logansport plays at Anderson Saturday.
