
Officer Nick Vander Molen has been hard at work all year and is very deserving of such an honor.
A graduate of Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana, Nick went on to Indiana Conservation Officer recruit school in 2012 and the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 2013 making him one of the newest Indiana Department of Natural Resources officers.
In his short tenure as an Indiana Conservation Officer Nick has several accomplishments. He has become a vital member of the dive team helping to bring closure to families during very tragic events.
He continued to provide and inspire our youth during many outdoor education programs. He has been a mentor and role model officer during C.O. Mollenhour Camp in Silver Lake. In addition, ICO Vander Molen has solved many cases involving the illegal taking of fish and game.
District One headquarters is located in Syracuse, and the district covers Kosciusko, Wabash, Miami, Elkhart, Fulton, Marshall and St. Joseph counties.
