Trio Pace Pilots To Easy Win
Miami Gardens, Florida – The big three of Matt Schauss, Zach Miller and Clay Yeo combined for 58 points as the No. 5 ranked Bethel College men’s basketball team defeated Florida Memorial 71-46 Monday night.
Senior Matt Schauss led the way for Bethel with 23 points to go along with nine rebounds while classmate Zach Miller added 15 points that came on 5-of-6 shooting from three-point range all in the first half.
Sophomore Clay Yeo 20 points, six rebounds, one assists and one block in the winning effort.
The Pilots (13-1) shot 48 percent from the field while holding Florida Memorial to 29 percent shooting.
Bethel quickly turns around to face the host school from Saint Thomas University Tuesday night at 8:30pm. The Pilots will then host Grace College Saturday in Crossroads League action at the Wiekmp Center in Mishawaka at 3 p.m. The Bethel women will host Grace Saturday at 1 p.m.
