Mason Leads Way To Win
UNION MILLS – The Triton girls basketball team went into Christmas break on a winning note Saturday.
The Trojans picked up a 42-35 win at South Central in a non-conference matchup.
South Central led 15-12 after the first quarter. Triton then outscored the hosts 11-4 in the second period to take a 23-19 halftime lead. The Trojans led 30-29 after the third stanza before outscoring South Central 12-6 in the final period.
Kylie Mason popped in 20 points to lead the winners. Becca Kennedy finished with 11 points for the Trojans.
Riley Popplewell led South Central (6-4), which saw its four-game winning streak snapped, with 20 points.
Triton, now 8-4, hosts Warsaw Jan. 2.
