Balance Carries Triton To NSC Win
BOURBON – A balanced offensive attack led the way as Triton topped Bremen 61-41 Friday night in girls basketball action.
Four players scored in double figures for the Trojans as they stayed unbeaten in Northern State Conference play versus the winless Lions.
Becca Kennedy led the way for Triton, now 7-3 overall and 2-0 in the NSC, with 16 points.
Kylie Mason netted 14 points, while Jaela Meister had 11 for the Trojans. Krystal Sellers added 10 points for the Class 1-A No. 7 Trojans.
Triton led 14-11 after the first quarter and 30-21 at halftime. The hosts then outscored the Lios, who drop to 0-7 overall and 0-2 in the NSC, 31-20 in the final half.
The Trojans shot 23-47 from the field in the win.
Triton hosts Rochester Wednesday. Bremen hosts Concord Tuesday.
