A female was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital early Saturday after a male attempted to strangle her. She was treated and released.

Shane Andrew Timmons, 27, 677 Walter Way, Warsaw, was arrested on charges of strangulation, domestic battery in the presence of a child under the age of 16 and aggravated battery.

According to Warsaw Police, officers were called at 12:52 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, to the 600 block of Walter Way, Warsaw, for a report of a battery.

Police learned that Timmons, who was intoxicated, had attempted to strangle a female at that residence three times.

He was also arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

His bond was set at $10,000 surety for the domestic battery, strangulation and aggravated battery. The warrant carried a $750 bond.
