ELKHART – A strong second half carried host Jimtown past Lakeland Christian Academy 42-33 in girls basketball action Friday night.

LCA took a 19-14 halftime lead over the Jimmies. The hosts then outscored the Cougars 18-14 in the second half for the win.

Hannah Delp and Rachel Sand each scored 10 points to lead the offense for LCA.

Melissa Goss netted six points and Maryl Gerst five for the Cougars.

Rachel Miller led Jimtown with 10 points.

Jimtown improves to 3-4, while LCA drops to 1-5.

LCA hosts Hamilton tonight at 6 p.m. in a girls/boys doubleheader with the girls contest first. Jimtown hosts conference foe LaVille tonight.
