Five Warsaw Community Schools’ educators recently attended the Indiana Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages Conference in Indianapolis.

Keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Timothy Boals, co-founder and president of World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment.

WIDA standards are a framework for teachers to embed academic language into classroom instruction and learning.

Boals states, “Teachers need guidance, tools and support for the teaching of language within school contexts to maximize language and content learning.”
