Earlier today Indiana State Trooper David Caswell arrested Richard A. Roe, 56, of Rochester for battery. The battery charge stemmed from an incident where Roe is accused of assaulting an Indiana Department of Transportation worker on SR 331 in Bourbon on Nov. 7.

According to Caswell, Roe became a suspect in the battery case after the Bourbon Police Department received an anonymous tip from a concerned citizen.

Caswell obtained an arrest warrant for Roe through Marshall County and took the suspect into custody today. Roe is currently being held at the Marshall County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
